They are acute observers!</span><br style="font-size: medium;" /><br style="font-size: medium;" /><b style="font-size: medium;">Reading/Writing</b><span style="font-size: medium;">: We have enjoyed learning and reading about the importance of taking care of our teeth this week as well as some stories related to weather. I am so proud of them!</span></span></p><p><b><u><span style="font-size: medium;">A couple of housekeeping things...</span></u></b></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Please make sure your child has an extra set of dry clothes to keep here. The snow/melting/freezing/wetness makes it very likely we will get our clothes wet and no one enjoys sitting in wet clothes. Also, a pair of extra shoes so we aren't stomping around in uncomfortable footwear. We go outside twice a day and while there is any snow at all, it is a great idea for snow pants, boots, and all other outside gear~winter is far from over! </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up! PLEASE listen to any canceled days that are being considered "remote learning days" and follow this plan: Open the manilla envelope and work on "a few" pages inside. I won't be looking over your shoulders! You know what works for your child and family! There is also a directive page from our specials teachers that offers a variety of engaging activities. I will plan to be available from 9am-noon on any of these days if you need to check in with me (as long as I have power/internet). Next week we will begin our How-To writing unit. This year is moving too fast for me~<br /><br /><span style="font-family: "times new roman";"><span> </span>In math we are working with teen numbers, formation of numbers, addition and subtraction practice, graphing pets, counting and number recognition through graphing , solving number problems, and continuing our calendar routines. Our routines at calendar time include; counting to the calendar number of the day, weather observations, tracking the number of days we have been in school, patterned 10 frames, tally marks, money, and days of the week. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><b><u>Upcoming Events:</u></b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><b><u><br /></u></b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><b><u>May 18 & 19 WE DO HAVE SCHOOL-there was an administrative change for this and kindergarten WILL be in school those days<br /></u></b></span><br />May 29- Memorial Day- No School<br /><br /><br /></div></div><p><br /></p>Mrs. Sample's Kindergartenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11586684557312520291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730746519179966011.post-6858131989460306792023-04-14T08:29:00.000-07:002023-04-14T08:29:24.576-07:00<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpCzv8JaTncWQXzsMH5V_eTKj5S0sQfSC5c5Im6-pq9F4CqdLeywUdRq4b-jkmV-bB7CiBrv_EliOkR6Igv7Vtj53q0D4xIY6WNlsSU_1nMzByWMumyuRDfLhd-csguuRE2U_wJxBw9Qp43PAf5L2Ui7Kmsb0VLu3JcvAI6wwm4ayDygcJdy6XV5lY/s2566/IMG_1123.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1771" data-original-width="2566" height="221" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpCzv8JaTncWQXzsMH5V_eTKj5S0sQfSC5c5Im6-pq9F4CqdLeywUdRq4b-jkmV-bB7CiBrv_EliOkR6Igv7Vtj53q0D4xIY6WNlsSU_1nMzByWMumyuRDfLhd-csguuRE2U_wJxBw9Qp43PAf5L2Ui7Kmsb0VLu3JcvAI6wwm4ayDygcJdy6XV5lY/s320/IMG_1123.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p>What a WONDERFUL week it has been in Kindergarten!!! </p><p>Thank you for all of the cuteness you made happen at our concert~they were all so excited and nervous and proud. Your willingness to make that happen is what I love about what I do! </p><p>We have started our next (and final) mission with Go2Science. We have landed in Thailand to study tigers. The hypothesis for this mission is; "There is a resident population in Huai Kha Khaeng (HKK) Wildlife Sanctuary in Thailand". Some of the evidence we will be collecting is tracks, prey, babies, scratch marks, poop, spray, and other things (like hearing without seeing). </p><p>We continued to work through our reading, writing, and math goals.</p><p>We ate through the rainbow this week as the entire school ate such healthy and marvelous snacks provided by our PTA~(they are fantastic). Some of your students are experts at eating through the rainbow! </p><p>Also, as the weather shifted this week, it has been difficult to be inside. I hope you all have a splendid vacation full of fun and family! Enjoy~~~</p><p> </p>Mrs. Sample's Kindergartenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11586684557312520291noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8730746519179966011.post-52247498490515869002023-04-06T10:43:00.005-07:002023-04-06T10:43:45.581-07:00April 6, 2023<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhukyr44Sp2nGJ7CghkG_fFEdieDlY6etHJXB6GJXq-wsmZtXw8hIORTQoQFg6xZRusap0_QTdEbQio6csMdBxUfuY3O3gxZtQgoEl8KPGwNRGMKKZUGkgQ4VmlcQCpR4Gvqr8khq8ChMCOaI3_RA6WVgsFY6InRXUlliaDhZrPNc25k4lvAU3KkwX2/s231/images.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="219" data-original-width="231" height="219" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhukyr44Sp2nGJ7CghkG_fFEdieDlY6etHJXB6GJXq-wsmZtXw8hIORTQoQFg6xZRusap0_QTdEbQio6csMdBxUfuY3O3gxZtQgoEl8KPGwNRGMKKZUGkgQ4VmlcQCpR4Gvqr8khq8ChMCOaI3_RA6WVgsFY6InRXUlliaDhZrPNc25k4lvAU3KkwX2/s1600/images.jpeg" width="231" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hello All!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is coming to you a day early.
